Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of aksuite.com and the tools available on it (WHOIS lookup, DNS Lookup, SSL Checker, and any future tools), together the "Service," operated by AKSuite ("AKSuite," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

AKSuite provides free, publicly-accessible online tools for looking up domain registration (WHOIS), DNS records, and SSL/TLS certificate information, and may add further tools over time. The Service queries third-party domain registries, DNS resolvers, and target servers in real time and displays the results. No account, registration, or payment is required to use the Service as it exists today; we may introduce paid features or plans in the future, in which case additional terms would apply to those features specifically.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you're using it on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or defeat any rate limit, throttle, or access restriction the Service applies;
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to send a volume or pattern of requests beyond what a normal human visitor using the web interface would generate, or to bulk-harvest data from the Service;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue burden on the Service or the third-party registries, resolvers, or servers it queries on your behalf;
• Use lookup results to stalk, harass, defraud, impersonate, or harm any person or organization;
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as expressly permitted by applicable law;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service to impersonate any person or entity.

4. Rate Limiting & Access Restrictions

To keep the Service available to everyone and to respect the acceptable- use policies of the third-party registries and resolvers it queries, we apply rate limits and cooldowns per visitor. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, throttle, block, or restrict access for any visitor or IP address we reasonably believe is abusing, or attempting to abuse, the Service.

5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

WHOIS, DNS, and SSL/TLS certificate information displayed by the Service is retrieved from third-party domain registries, RDAP/WHOIS servers, DNS resolvers, and the target server itself, at the time of your request (or from a recent cache of such a request). We do not control, and do not guarantee, the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of this data. Registries and resolvers can be slow, unavailable, rate-limiting us, or simply wrong; cached results can be briefly stale. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any legal, financial, security, or other decision. Where accuracy genuinely matters (for example, verifying domain ownership for a legal dispute, or confirming a certificate's validity for a security-critical decision), verify independently against the authoritative source (the registry, the certificate authority, or the domain's own DNS).

6. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any given time. We do not warrant that results returned by the service are accurate, complete, or current.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AKSuite and its operator(s) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service - even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service will not exceed one hundred us dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, whichever is greater (which, for a free service, will ordinarily be $0). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AKSuite and its operator(s) from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

9. Third-Party Links & Content

The Service displays links and data sourced from third parties - registrar websites, certificate authority URLs, revocation lists, and similar - as part of lookup results. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service the Service links to or surfaces data from. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms and privacy policy.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, branding, code, and original content are owned by AKSuite or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Data displayed by the Service that originates from third-party registries, DNS records, or certificates remains the property of, and subject to the terms of, the party that published it. You may use the Service and its output for your own personal or internal business purposes; you may not represent the Service's design or code as your own, or use AKSuite's name or branding without our prior written consent.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Service collects and how it's used, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, harms the Service or other users, or exposes us to liability. Since the Service requires no account, "termination" ordinarily means blocking or rate-limiting access from a given IP address or network.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction instead.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as new tools or features go live. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AKSuite regarding the Service.
